My almost 4th year with a GT350

Guys,
This is the social media and nothing else. None of us are going to get a Ford racing contract for Le Mans in a GT40 or anything else.

We do track events as we can in our own budget. I have had a bunch of fun racing and spent some money doing it. I went for reliability over lap speed. All cash expenditures for racing are for my good memories and nothing else.

I have known guys that cashed in their retirement account to win an amateur SCAA race (both lost an engine or wrecked).

I say have fun but don't get addicted to the high over the next guy. I have never got a check with exiting my truck/trailer after an amateur weekend.

Great Advice! Thankfully, I club raced with BMW CCA that does NOT put up with reckless you know whats on the track. lol

Do you really own a Shelby gt350R and a 1984 gt302 Predator Cobra #0181? The !984 GT 302 Cobra was never made. What year is your GT350R?

I had four Fox Body cars in the 1980's. I still live in the same house

They were great 30 years ago but not today.

I say the new factory Mustang GT350 is the best car ever made by Ford. It's calm on the street, and balls on fire on the race track.

Four post is true. Thought I might like the forum but a little too… whatever for me. The 84 is a Tom Solomon conversion, typical of the mid 80s era. Nothing special except that there were few of them produced.
Nice collection of fox bodies you’ve owned. The pics are cool and the trophies are awesome.
The GT350R I own is KR374. Orange Fury with white stripes.

I sure respect the newer GT500 cars, but it is not the best thing. for a road race session. It has more front weight

I love my GT350, but a stock GT500 (while slightly heavier) would whip a stock GT350's ass on any road course in the country with equal drivers. It's got all the chassis, bigger brakes to offset the weight, way more power, and a better transmission.

The only place I've seen a GT350 beat a GT500 is in autocross where the GT500 can't leverage its power advantage and its suffers the most from its weight disadvantage.
