Great news! I just got off the phone with Ford Performance, and my car is now complete. They said they should be doing some more testing, and then it'll be shipped. This was the latest update per July 29th.

My car was started in the second week of the 2015 build cycle (2 total weeks of production for 2015s), so I'm guessing those with earlier build dates should be getting shipped, if they aren't shipped already.

Holy smokes - I'm excited!!! :ford::headbang::thumbsup::D

Congrats.. Just got off the phone with them myself... My car moved to "Produced" on 7/28 and will ship between August 9th and the 15th...

Talked to my guy this morning, they have allocation for 15 with one 1 R.
for all of 2016. He was told 2 of the allocation will be released for build.
But does not know if the R will be one of them, arrggg.
I was first one who ordered and got the R, so here's hoping.
Otherwise another month of waiting.
This is worse than waiting for a new baby to arrive. LOL

Sorry, could you repeat that in English? :) I have no idea what you are saying.

The dealership he is buying his car from was allocated 15 GT350s and 1 GT350R for MY2016, his is the R. The first 2 cars have been slotted for build, but he isnt sure if his 350R is one of them.

lol thanks. I kind of thought that but 15 allocations for one dealership (and only one R) seemed crazy.

Does anyone know if the GT350 production requires any special off-the-line processes other than post assembly line checks and tests?

I seem to remember that it takes about 20 hours to assemble a Mustang but I know they get queued in batches and inspected before leaving.

You don’t want to know
There was a post here somewhere that said some of the assembly is done off the regular line, but I can't find it.

Unfortunately each province in Canada does not have very many SVT dealerships and they are the only Ford dealerships in each province that will be allocated any 2016 Shelby GT350 cars.

Of course none of the 2015 GT350's made it to Canada.

Each Canadian SVT dealership was supposed to be allocated 15 GT350's along with 1 "R" model so obviously not many "R" models going to be sold in Canada.

Interesting to note that Canada does not impose a gas guzzler tax on these GT350 cars but they certainly hammer them everywhere else. The destination and delivery charge alone is $1650 for each vehicle.

MSRP on an "R" model in Canada is ~$87,000 if a person chooses all of the options not including the Triple Yellow paint job.

Add on HST and out the door this car is ~$100,000 without an ADM!

Nice eh!

I recall that as well...he stated 6-8 being produced per day.

That is pretty much correct, only 35 SVT dealers in Canada.
The allocation is done from Ford of Canada, not by region.
I am on the east coast only 2 SVT dealers in Atlantic Canada, now.
Your right, mine with electronics pack, over the top stripe kit and car cover was
86,k and change. Tax is different in each province, I get hit hard, 15%. Considering the exchange rate of about 28% at the moment.
Guys could but them in Canada and ship south for far less than some are paying.
But if you do the math, we are paying more than our friends to the south.

I have been told, to be and SVT dealer in Canada it cost $20,000.
Along with some other contractual obligations. ( I don't know this as 100% fact)
This means you are the only one to get Shelby's or Raptors.
Here from 07-14 they got MSRP, on pretty much every car they brought in.
Same with the Raptors.
