As an alternate hobby, I like to shoot aliens in the face competitively with friends..... so I've got a lot of UK and European friends from gaming. I was really surprised at their reaction when I ordered my Mustang. I live in the south and see 6 Mustangs by the time I commute to work every morning. But several of them commented about how they would love to own one someday and that they are more prized and rare where they live. Never expected them to have similar attachment to the brand.

All car sales are down in the US that's why Ford GM and FiatCA are ditching cars for SUV's

The article should have researched some facts before selling them. The Mustang is not outselling the 911, even though it did two single months over the last few years. But overall the 911 was sold about 50% more times then the Mustang since it's Launch in 2015 here.

Here are the new registered sportscars in Germany for 2017 (with the comparision to preyear):
Porsche 911: 7.520 (-7,3%)
Ford Mustang: 5.741 (+10,5%)
Audi TT: 5.739 (-22,4%)
Mercedes E-Klasse Coupe: 5.599 (+59,8%)
Mercedes SLK, SLC: 3.054 (-10,1%)
Porsche Boxster: 2.185 (-16,6%)
Jaguar F-Type: 1.314 (-1,9%)
Mercedes AMG GT: 1.267 (-1,0%)
Porsche Cayman: 1.187 (-27,5%)
Chevrolet Camaro: 957 (+167,3%)
Audi R8: 803 (+1,8%)
Maserati Ghibli: 603 (-26,6%)
Nissan 370Z: 385 (+19,6%)
Toyota GT 86: 266 (-9,8%)
Chevrolet Corvette: 41 (-86,0%)

Before you jump on the Camaro sales, it's a very different thing here. You can buy the Mustang at every single Ford store, while Chevrolet left the market a few years ago and only 15 dealers in the whole country still offer Camaros and Corvettes als Performance cars.

Added some graphics for Germany, first one is overall new registered cars since 07.15 and the second one is the monthly registrations over time.
