Could someone post some side by side pics of the noses of the GT350R-C, GT4 and the 2018 GT? I'm wondering if there are any styling cues from the new GT in the GT4 or if the nose is completely unique or a tweak of the GT350R-C. It kind of looks like it has the lower hood/grill opening of the 2018 to me.
The GT4 has the same fenders and front end as the GT350R-C. Same rear end as the GT350R-C . 2018 GT has no resemblance. Now back to the race. The 4 Ford GT's ... 2 C7R's...Ferrari...Porsche and BMW are all on the same lap. 115
Defending Rolex 24 winner, Corvette #4 stalled out on track, had electrical issues and damaged the right rear somehow during the tow, they are down 21 laps.
8 Hours in to the race Ford GTs running 1st, 2nd, 7th and 9th due to pit stop sequencing. All are on lap 237.
FYI, its been raining off and on for the last three or four hours and should probably continue until the final few hours of the race. Should make for a big charge to the checkered flag when it finally dries out. All the GTLM cars are running within 25 seconds or so of the lead Ford GT, except for the #4 Corvette that is still 21 laps in a rears.
with 12 hours 24 minutes left: Ford GTs are 3rd, 5th, 6th and 9th. The #67 has lost 11 laps with rear body damage and at this point is still in the garage. 1st through 5th are all within 1minute 5 seconds. The two Porsches are in the lead with the increasingly wet weather.
At 9:00am ET, the #66 is in first in GTLM, 4 seconds ahead of the Porsche. They've been battling. Earlier the #66 was ahead and then pitted leaving it ~23 seconds behind the Porsche. Then there was a yellow and after some great pit work came out ahead of the Porsche again. #69 is 6th and #68 is 7th, 1 lap down and #67 is 10th, 29 laps down. Still raining.
The GTs are really running well! Look at the number of pit stops for the #66! He's been up front the majority of the time and is currently 5th overall. :ford:
