Apologies, I know I am being a c**k here but it's more about the dealer arrangement. We all already know the arrangement between the consumer and the dealer. However, I've been as quick as anyone to criticise the dealers but I am just beginning to wonder whether that is fair. So the question is, dealer takes an order on say 31/01/2015. Car gets a price increase before delivery. Does the dealer pay the price (as between the dealer and Ford UK) prevailing at the time of the order or at the time of delivery ?

I suspect @Manders_Mustang is right and the only one on the forum who will know is @j-rowe14
A contract is formed when you place the deposit at the price at the time. Failing to honour that contract is breach.

I made a point of getting an email from the dealer saying that the original price would be honoured.

Think we're on about reselling such car to another buyer:

buyer A buys car in december (For May delivery)
buyer B buys buyer A car in March (for may delivery)
Price rises in Jan

If buyer A cancells from dealer. then dealer sells buyer a car to buyer B at price rise post Jan '16. Not at price of sale to Buyer A.

This is what my dealer has just told me When I put a deposit down that guaranteed my price

Dealer will hold your price, if once the dealer picks the car up, you then wait 3 months to pick it up yourself and pay for it, they can then change the price up, but that's by their choice, one member (IIRC) did this 3 month wait and it didn't move.

Hi, cancelled mustangs are not usually advertised back to Ford. If you could let me know the spec though I can search for any sold orders for you.

Thanks
Karen
Apologies for the late reply, I'm after a C/O V8 auto, Ceramic interior, navigation, climate control seats, Parking sensors. I have previously emailed but was told no cancelled orders on C/O.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, I have been on annual leave and flu.
When a car is ordered that price protects the price for that day. If the car is cancelled and then re-contracted in a different persons name, then the price protection is lost.
