MTX Amplified 10" Subwoofer

i have a base GT stereo and was thinking of installing "AMPLIFIED MTX XTL110P XThunderLink Powered 10" Subwoofer Enclosure Bass Box" from eBay. first time doing this and my question is, would this work with my base stereo or i need to buy a new stereo?
