Just wanted to let people know my experience with Optimum Performance and their BG transmission kit.

Delivered quick and comes with everything needed. Directions were written very well and the hand pump works like a charm.

The cup has a yellow tape line to measure out what should be left over for a proper fill amount. I marked the line with a sharpie then filled the cup slightly over the line then I pumped the rest into the transmission.

Then I dropped the last bit from the oil jug into the cup then pumped out of the cup till I was just below the line I marked.

Went for a short jaunt this afternoon and I can say the shifting smoothness was instantly noticeable. I would definitely recommend this fluid to anyone looking to swap the stock fluid. I look forward to putting some more miles on my car and enjoy the smoother shifting [emoji106]

Thank you very much for the detailed review Jmeo !!! We are really pleased to hear Our Optimum Performance BG Sycnro Shift II Kit was easy to use and you experienced the same shifting improvement we did when we tested it!

Thanks again for giving us a shot!

Oddly enough I'm interested. My shifts are a little rough especially in and out of 1st. I'd love to see a video review and a how-to-er since I doubt anyone I know who claims to be a car guy is willing to help.

I tried getting some help making sure I did my first oil change right and they all said it was too risky and to just go to the dealership if that says anything. I'd rather do this myself after hearing horror stories, but have zero experience dealing with this kind of stuff.

I mean how can you ever learn if you never do it, right?

Perhaps if you provide a more specific location (US is a bit broad), one of the fellow forum members might be close enough to come show you the ropes?

Best,

Oil change = drain oil, replace filter, replace oil to fill mark.

If you're in Atlanta, I can show you but the horror stories you hear are <1% of the population. A dealer will change the oil just fine 99% of the time.

I agree Todd I'm out and about with my car and the temperature this morning was 39° and the BG without a doubt shifts like a charm, I love it.

Fortunately the dealership took care of me. I have learned without actually doing the process by reading/videos how to do oil changes, but this looks more involved.

If anyone is near West KY, the McCracken Co area let me know, I'd love to have some help to do this swap.
