Has any one had problems with their 2step. I was told that the msd box only misfires the same 4 cylinders every time. Thats sounds to be a problem. I am currently useing the box with no problems but i dont want it to become a problem

i believe the box works on 15, but 16/17 had some changes, haven't verified, but that is my understanding

Ford changed the coil packs march of 16'. Any car with the newer style coil packs will not work with the msd.

So far I have had good luck with the N2mb wot box on my 16'. (Newer style coils)

I have a 15 and it works fine. The issue i have is that one of my friends went to a shop to get his car tuned and asked about putting a msd 2step on his car. The tuner said that the msd one is not good for the car. Has seen a few high horsepower cars go boom. Said that the msd only misfires 4cyl and the same 4 every time. He reccomended the n2mb

If that is the case then i would probably switch to the n2mb.

The n2mb works well. It's our go-to box

So my car is a 15 eco and as you all know i swapped in a 16 coyote . The last few weeks i developed a transbrake with a bump in option. During that time i installed a mSd 2 step. During testing it operates just fine, but i never went wot. After my testing was done and the transbrake was complete i started beating on my car again ! Sure enough at wot the car would buck and misfire ? It scared me the first time , i tjought she was blowing up ! Well i tried plugs and changing fuel all i was doing was chasing my tail. So this morning i thought i wonder if its the msd ? Removed it and damn now its back to normal ! So it obviously does not work properly on a 16.

Msd's have just had some issues. You probably have a defective one.

Figured it out, the red terminal fell out of my connector. Simple fix and works great now.

Seems like its always somethin simple. How do you like the bump box. Did you figure out a spot to put that big switch board?

We've been told by MSD their unit works on the 15 but not on 16 or 17 models. With that said we recommend going with the WOT box as it will work on all years without any issues. We use the WOT box on all of our shop cars with great results.

If you have any questions or are looking to purchase a WOT box we have them in stock and ready to ship.
