I am curious if anyone on here has an idea how much the time and MPH in the 1/4 would increase from ditching the PP 19" wheels for a drag setup with skinnys. I know it will result in better traction but I am curious how much the decrease in weight and rolling resistance makes.

Don't be surprised if your MPH actually drops when switching from street tires to DR's especially when aired down. You increase rolling resistance with sticky tires with low air pressure, so unless the front skinnies offset that completely you could lose MPH. Also spinning off the line with street tires can increase MPH compared to hooking with drag radials.

I agree but I am already running drag radials on stock PP wheels. Curious how much u can gain going to lightweight drag wheels

About 2/10s is common. Muscle mustang and fast ford tested drag wheels on a S197 coyote and gained that. I don't worry about MPH as long as I'm getting down the track faster. I'd rather have an 11 second car that trapped 113 instead of a low 12 second car that trapped 114.

Hey bluebeast how much do u think those nitto,s will effect my et with them being an inch shorter then my pp setup.I think they will hook a little better then the pzeros because more contact patch, but worrying about that extra shift with the 373 gears.

I agree with you. I am right at an 11 second pass with my 12.20. I would love to get in the 11s without longtubes and offroad pipes.

Not my current 15 GT, but when I did just the skinnies and lightweight wheels on my then new 85 GT it knocked 1.5 tenths off my E.T.
Doing lightweight rears was also worth nearly a full tenth.
Add it up and I knocked about 2.5 tenths just from the wheels and tires.

I was thinking 1-2 tenths as well but it has been a while since I had my 92 coupe.

Last season I was running drag radials on heavy stock factory wheels. This season, the only change I made to my '14 Mustang GT was drag wheels (SVE 17x4.5" skinnies and 15x10" rears). This resulted in a 68 lb reduction in weight. My trap speed stayed the same (117 mph), but my ET's dropped by 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile (and a little more than 1 tenth in the 1/8 mile).

Mine runs the same ET and MPH with my Weld RT-S wheels 17x10 rear and 18x5 wheels .. Fact is my stock 18s with DRs ran just a bit faster than the welds and DR s .. My 18 in DRs are shorter than the 17s with DRs and that might be helping me with my short times ..I'm sure not picking up 2 tenths , I wish it was ..

Well I hope the improved sixty foot will have a bigger effect on your time than an extra shift. Power shift that last shift before the finish line.;)

I think it can be done no problem in good air.
