These discussions are wildly inaccurate unless using the old method for manually calculating based off odometer reading since last fill up and volume readout at the pump.

Yeah, I manually calculate the mileage every tank and record it in a spreadsheet.

Same. I manually calculate and record the results vs. the dash display. After about the 15-20 fill ups I calculated the % variance and calibrated the dash MPG. Since then it's been damn close. However even now after calibration the instantaneous MPG readouts are only good for entertainment purposes.
