I'm getting about 13mpg strictly in town, but I blame the low mpgs on my Stainless Works h-pipe exhaust. It just sounds so damn good I can't help but put my foot in it and blip it at every opportunity.

I feel it will be difficult for me to get an accurate MPG measurement because I'm not certain that I can drive through an entire tank without putting my foot into that throttle and revving this gorgeous V8. Mustang GT begs for it.

According to the computer, I'm averaging 16 MPG or so around the city. I've been driving lightly, accelerating gently and barely getting above 2,000 rpm around town. However I quickly destroy that MPG average anytime I put it into Sport+ to salute America.

I guess I'll have to note my fuel economy when I take my first extended highway trip without the confines of stop and go L.A. traffic. My last car was a Civic. After 9 days of owning a Mustang GT, my attitude has shifted from that of fuel conservation to that of expressing freedom via the right foot.

I took your advice and keep it under or around 2,000 RPM. no im getting around 16MPG. although the occasional heavy foot is not helping.

I'm averaging around 13-18 in the city. Definitely do your calculations on your own and come back at us with those numbers. The computer doesn't always get it right. Plus it seems like its a common "problem" for everyone to slip that baby on Sport + and get a little gas pedal happy.
The air intake did help my mpg in my f150 just so you know. I'm curious to see the results in the mustang. I'm kinda just a lot more excited about the few extra ponies that will come as a result of that.

If I try I can get about 26 MPG average on my 22 mile work trip, but it's very rare that I try. I normally do everything I can to destroy my MPG.

I have some mods that probably help:
Livernois Tune
JLT CAI
Eibach Sportlines
Throttle Body spacer

16-19 mpg in the city lately, just very little throttle. 13-14 mpg on the gas in the city. Hwy I get 19-22 just cruising. All in all mpg is not nearly as bad as I thought it might be. Its fairly OK but I don't drive too much.

Ive been driving really conservatively and averaging about 18.5. ALL CITY. However I haven't floored the car in over three days. :(
I'll have to stretch her legs when she gets back from service.

when my bro had a 2006 Saleen he had no choice but to drive a 1990 CRX as a daily.....it helped him out big time with saving gas money and putting less miles on his Saleen. The CRX he bought for $1,400 at the time and lasted him 8 years before selling both cars and buying an Edge

Miles per tank mean nothing. A huge tank could get lots of miles per tank with bad mpg.

I am, it's been great. Your tune really woke the car up and turned it into a monster - so much so that I'm pretty sure I need bigger rear wheels/tires now.

Great to hear!

And to the OP, a tune definitely helps with economy, and of course induces slightly evil grins while driving. :-)

I do mostly highway driving to and from work. ~25 miles roundtrip. I see more stoplights and city driving on the weekends. Currently got 3456 on my odometer and I'm averaging 17.4 since I brought her home in December. I play nice most of the time but around the city and onramps I will lower the hammer. Also since I added Roush axelbacks I've pushed it more often to hear that glorious howl
