Easy internet search or owners supplement query. The spring rates on the track pack and 17 are the same as the R the only difference is the height. All sway bars are same diameter, rear bar has shorter end links
Based on my understanding the coil spring rate on the R models are 24% stiffer than the regular GT350's no matter what MY we are talking.

The coil spring rate on the GT350 is 194 lbs/in. whereas the GT350R's come in at 240 lbs/in.

Yup... the R8 V10+ can haul big time (include the Huracan here as well). I also give double credit to the BDC winner, the beautiful 570S. That's a RWD that can hit basically near mid-10s. Amazing the way it can lay power down whether on the straights or in the curves.

Mine too... always loved that car since it was revealed. I'd likely take it over an NSX or a R8/Huracan. Looks good in Blade Silver too... and a good argument to even pass up on a 650S or 675LT to save yourself 150k-200k. :D

I would assume that the Ford GT will be in next year's competition, if they ever start releasing them.

well, there is only so much you can do with a ancient ford V12 and a old as dirt Jaguar XK platform.

That said, if you are buying a V12 vantage for the track you are doing it wrong. Aston makes better trackcars than that even with the same old bits.

I don't even consider them a high end brand after seeing that clumsy performance.

Personally, I see Aston Martin as one of those brands that is pretty much out to prove nothing except for how amazingly good they can sound and how beautiful they can shape body panels. And they are EXCEPTIONALLY adept at that. Could the do better in the performance department? Sure, absolutely. But I'd still take one.

So, I checked the numbers for the GT350R vs 1LE and somewhat shockingly the GT350R loses as many corners as it "wins". Suprisingly some corners are massively different with the middle of the Corkscrew showing the 1LE up with 1.53G vs 1.43G. GT350R up by .07G in the next two corners so perhaps its a tradeoff in driving lines?

Braking is in favor of the GT350R but limited data points. Its close though, with 1.31g for the R vs 1.29 for the 1LE peak to peak.
Speeds are no contest though with the GT350R pulling huge mph differentials. Interestingly the peak speed before the corkscrew is a higher differential at 114.3 vs 109.9 than the main straight at 131.1 vs 127.5.

One thing thing is clear, MT and/or GM trying to paint the 1LE tires as "street" tires is a pretty barefaced lie, these are full on cheater tires as seen by the cornering and braking G forces shown. Also 200 tread wear is a far cry from a Supersport's 300 even if that 200 is legitimate. Also Michelin needs to step up the cheater tire game with the Cup2 being too streetable to compete with the latest "cheater" tires. One would think they saw the writing on the wall with the Trofeo R a few years ago, but seems like everyone is on that game now.

Its clear that going forward Ford has some work to do even with something as epic as the GT350R. The AMG GT showed that with its fall from winning to mid pack in a single year.

I am willing to bet that the Goodyears are not that good. Along with Camaro, Goodyear is also at the bottom of the Performance list.

The 1LE lost by a great margin. Chevy has A LOT of work to do.

Yes it's BS that GM is playing off the Eagle F1 Supercar G2s as "street tires" when they are a direct competitor to the MPSC2 & Trofeo R tires.

If it is AS bound, it will be destroyed.

The '16 SS's use a 275/285 and it will pretty much equal out the 1LE advantage. Essentially, the SS in FS is equipped with better tire. I highly doubt the 1LE can put enough time on an SS w/ 275/285's to be competitive in AS.

The 1LE isn't fit for AS, regardless what tire it's allowed to use.
First sign you don't know anything about racing: you're going on and on about tire size and completely forgetting about WHAT tire.

Secondly, there was a GT350 in AS at nationals this year and it got destroyed as well. VERY VERY destroyed. As in pretty much near the bottom of the pack destroyed. What do you say to that? AS is dominated by C5 Z06's and C6 Grand Sports. Autocross is 80% driver, 20% car.

Stop talking and actually learn something for once.

In my experience, you are wrong. The G2 tires were on the last couple of iterations of the GT500 and they were indeed street tires, broadly in the same category (although with lower performance) as the MPSS tires that come on the GT350. They were not in direct competition with the MPSC2 or Trofeo R tires.

You're not familiar with the bespoke 1LE F1 Supercar tire. It's not the same tread pattern. There's not much info on it and Ive seen it referenced as "G3".

Doesn't matter how the 1LE stacks up in this comparo... I don't give it two shakes of much credit. I'll wait for Randy Pobst to work them both over in the same day at LA and then I'll give credit where credit is due.

That being said, I'd love to see what the 350TrP, R, 1LE and the 15 Z/28 did in a comparo, same day, same driver (Pobst) and all four cars rolling Trofeos.
