I'm going off of this site: http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual/contents.htm and can't find anything relating to them, so that being the case, the chances of you getting pulled for the "wrong" colour side reflectors I would say is somewhere between zero & fuck all! ;)

what about if you completely paint over them in body colour paint (as though they have been deleted)?

I know some european cars have them, but on the UK spec versions they are either removed or have blanking plate fitted etc.

I’ve just got a sneaking suspicion that some of the bright orange will be visible at the edges of the tint film.

My current plan is to paint or wrap gloss black (same as car) a ‘spare set’ and see how they look. I can’t shake this nagging, guilty feeling though, that as a grown man, I shouldn’t be wasting my time spending time and money doing this!

On a similar subject, I’m also considering blackout of the front reflectors. I think I like the look, but is it a tragic thing for a grown man to do? What do people think?

I don't think you have to have them at all so colour MAY be irrelevant. It's probably a requirement for another European state. Worth checking though, you don't want to give them a reason to pull you.

The IVA test for individual private imports is less strict compared to manufacturer regulations. If your car has a European VIN, is listed as a European car on the registration documents and does not have the required manufacturer standard safety equipment on board, you'll be in for a very bad time.

If you want a bespoke Mustang with all the US bits intact, contact someone like Atlantic Sports Cars up in Scotland and get a car ordered direct from the factory. This way, you'll get your American car whilst also being able to specify right hand drive on the order sheet - though, I'd verify that with him first. You CAN pretty much select any option going though.

A Mustang with the equivalent spec as the Euro model (Premium + Performance + Security) will run you about £39,000. Right Hand Drive might add some more to that price - but based on the USD price for a Mustang that's roughly what you'll pay.

Go for a totally base GT and you're looking at £32,500-ish on the road.

It'd be tragic if you made it look like a low-IQ teenagers wet dream.

But that black-out Mustang looks classy - so by all means, go nuts!

I have never modded a car & have never had the urge but I feel that may change with the Mustang...although I only have an Ecoboost, as far as appearances go, the shelby front end looks fu*king amazing I think, with gloss black stripes :love: a Shelby tribute Ecoboost may seem a bit daft to some but it would probably be a rare one! Seriously considering this for a future mod. Would go nicely with an exhaust upgrade a few extra ponies under the bonnet

What I do will depend to an extent on what we can get in this country and at what price. Large parts would cost a fortune to ship from the US and having a specialist do it is even worse.
