I've managed for the last 8 years or so with 3 different cars, two of which didn't come with a jack or brace and all three with the 'emergency' gunk.

I would just call ford recovery, or whatever they're called and get recovered.

Even my youngest's Cooper Coupe hasn't got a spare and just the gunk. Seems that's the way of most modern cars now.

Pretty sure it's been made clear elsewhere, the space saver will not fit over the Brembo front brakes.
That's for the front, but I also seem to recall someone mentioning that to fit it on the rear, you also need a spacer?

Whether the spend out on the spare is worth it probably depends on your driving habits as well. Personally I feel having the reassurance of the spare is worth it and having a full size one is just too inconvenient. It's my DD that is also used for work travelling around the country. I've got AA cover (and also Ford recovery it seems), but no recovery service will accept "I'd like a tow truck to get me to my hotel tonight, then one in the morning to get me to my job, then at later on, I'd like a truck to take me to a tyre fitters or home please"

Under sealing,
Decided to underseal the car as the "Belgium" jobby didn't look good !masked off the whole car and engine ,gearbox etc. Full stoneguard treatment then waxoiled. Big job but worth doing as this car is a keeper !!!

Would love to do this but a bit beyond my capabilities - i.e. no lift for a start.

I don't doubt anything said but neither the Ford Parts web site or the Mustang Owners Manual seems to mention not being able to fit the space saver spare wheel over the Brembo front brakes on the GT.

On page 189 of the Owners Manual it indicates that the Temporary 155/60R18 uses 60psi for both front and rear wheels.

Not much point lugging a temporary spare wheel and tyre everywhere if it won't fit !!!

There is a version for the GT PP as I have it. Don't have a car as yet so can't confirm the fit.

It will fit a square plate but is very low and possibly conflict kerbs.
