Is the glue still due 11/12?
Nope I got it Thursday last week and then life been busy…

Maybe it was the brake from it or the day or current headspace. Got the glue and wanted to finish gluing what I had done of the fuselage. Felt like I ruined the entire thing. Super frustrated so put it away and then have been busy but also just don’t want to touch it till I stop feeling like I want to throw it in the garbage. Let me take some pics…

I’m sure it can be fixed with sanding, taping, repainting. I just don’t feel up to spending all that time and energy to fix something I did with a product I waited so long for specifically to avoid this very thing. Instead I want to set it all on fire. Soooo it sits in the box till I maybe don’t want to hulk smash it into oblivion.

Just let it rest a while. Cooler weather is coming in you’ll need something to do while you’re indoors. I would still finish it even if you have to repair a little bit. It’s always satisfying to finish a model.

For sure! And this one was pricey too so can’t waste it. Maybe I’ll just have to make all the paint look a little weathered or something.

I have gotten into slot cars again after about 50 years. Here's some of my 1/32 models and my track.

That’s awesome. There was a slot car store front around the corner from me when I was a kid. They had around six different multi lane tracks set up. This was back in late 60’s. I remember hanging out there for hours watching the races.
That got me into the Aurora and Tyco HO sets…..still have them.

Be careful, it's a rabbit hole! I bought a Carrera set last December for $200. It kind of snowballed. I discovered a two lane plastic track with magnetic cars wasn't very exciting, so I gave it to a neighbor kid. I wanted at least 3 lanes and a more freeform layout, without magnets. Carrera and Scalextric cars don't do well without magnets. Their wheels and tires are not true, don't have much traction and they fall over a lot. So, I switched to high end cars that average about $90 ready to race. Plus individual adjustable power supplies, pro controllers and lap counter/timer hardware and software. Add the cost of the track and I'm at $7k and counting.

Its been far too long since I put one together. I have been thinking about picking up the hobby again.

I'm surprised these have lasted all these years.

Test fitting, sanding, priming, masking, painting, masking and painting, this little Lotus took months to build.

These two started out as two of the worst fitting kits I have ever put together.
