I'm not sure I'm 100% sold on these yet but I'm kinda digging it so far. Only time will tell I guess if I keep these on permanently. I bought these pre-painted and color match looks spot on.

There is nothing wrong with this part per se but if I were to nitpick, some criticisms I would have might be:
1) felt a little bit on the flimsy side and the plastic is kind of thin compared to the OEM vent. The part is bendable.
2) Attaches via 2 clip-on screws and a notch. Would have preferred clips like the OEM part for a more secure fit.
3) Fit and finish seemed slightly inferior to OEM vent.
4) Some type of Mesh across openings might have been cool

If you don't have a pry tool to remove the clips holding the hood liner, get one. I damn near took off my fingernails taking them off with a screwdriver and then pulling them off by hand.

Install tip:
Install the vent by inserting the 2 screws into the hood first (side closest to front bumper) and then GENTLY bending the back of the vent into position (the part is flexible so it has some give). The part seems like it doesn't fit if you try to install it vice versa because the screws do not seem to line up to the holes, even though looking at it, you would think that would be the better way to install it.

Your car is too clean! The tree reflections of the trees are making it hard to see lol

There's been a few people I've seen on here install these and I still can't decide if I like them or not, looks mean from the front but not sure on the side profile. I like the way it looks on black the best so far though

It's like a backward OEM vent.

I feel the same way. Love them looking at the front but think it looks a little goofy from the side since there is a slight bulge/bubble.

There was another thread I saw not too long ago that had a whole complete write up on the installation of these and I can't seem to find it anymore :(

Anyway, it inspired me to buy a pair and this is what it looks like.

I agree with all the nitpicks you had OP. Mine didn't even come with the double sided stick tape like it showed in the instructions, but I mean, whatever lol.

I'm happy with the way it looks :)

PS. Sorry for blowing up the thread. Upload pictures without resizing

I'm on the fence with these. Liking the look from the front.
When Ford did wind tunnel testing they show how the heat extractors pull heat out.
If these were more of a ram air for the intake that could sway me.
My 2 cents.

Okay, so I should've actually kept track of this better but I saw my temps today. Inlet air was low 80s on the freeway and cylinder head was high 190s/low 200s. I don't know what the normal air temp is but my usual head temps are between 215 and 230 depending how hot the day is. Today we had about an average 80 degree day and I was coming home going between 75 and 80 mph. At a complete stop, my temps would spike back up to the usual 230s for heads (again, I don't know what my normal air temps are). The head temps definitely went down a little bit, could this be a side effect of the hood vents? Or am I just imagining this..?
