They are Chinese junk. I just wasted 140.00 shop fee's having one installed only to find out they have little or no quality control and the factory cap will not screw on. Neither would the spare we tried from NAPA. Now I get to spend my valuable time shipping this back to Mishimoto... I should have bought a different brand.
I'm sure peeps will say theirs was fine but I waited a month because they were OOS . I'm guessing this new batch from China is not the same..

Sorry to hear you had a poor experience with our expansion tank Mike. We have a ton of folks utilizing this tank on 6G without concern. Sounds like the threads were either damaged during shipping or incorrectly manufactured. Sounds like you have been in touch with our customer service team in regards to acquiring a replacement. If not, please let me know if I can assist with the process.

Again, I apologize for the issues you experienced with our expansion tank.

First off, complete dick move of you to just jump into my thread and hijack it by bashing a company that it sounds like you didn't even contact before bashing. Second off, the fact that you paid a shop to install it, if that's what you mean by shop fees, and paid $140 to do it sounds like you got ripped off and maybe they damaged it, but maybe they didn't. This is a 30 minute install that my 10 year old niece could do. Either way, next time take the time to either make your own post in the proper section it belongs in and take the time to talk to the company before bashing them. Pretty immature if you ask me and you are a new member so slow your roll. Thanks.

Typical forum response. "you are a new member" I'm 57 and have bought enough stuff in my life -- I did contact them- They finally got back only after posting here and a second email to them.

Also, I prefer to pay a professional to install everything- whether is home, auto or boat related. It keeps the economy running and gives me more time to fish.

Please direct me to the area where I can leave appropriate feedback and ratings for this fine product..

BTW- you are more than welcome to have my defective POS for 140.00 bux

You're 57, which makes this even worse IMO. What did you do, hit the search button, my post was the first that popped up and you decided to post here? Or maybe this is your first time using the forum I am not sure. When I say you are NEW it means to RELAX. If you are 57 and you have been doing this for a long time, then this is not the first time you have received a part that may not have worked like it should. Have all your cars been 100% fantastic when you got them? If not does that mean the car company, such as Ford is a piece of shit and you will bash them every chance you get? It's called some etiquette, that's all I was saying. You could've made a post or even asked, "hey has anybody had this issue" instead of just bashing, but if you want to bash, then bash away, but using somebody else's thread is not the right answer either, unless that thread is bashing them too, then bash away. The section is the vendor's section and I don't need your defective POS, I have my own and it works just fine. I am sorry you got a car part that does not work as it should, I truly am, but you're not the first and you're not the last. There are many of us on here who have experienced the same thing, including myself, but have resorted to other means than bashing. Good luck to yourself as I will not be responding to any more of these messages as I have better things to do with my time.

Mine will catch the threads wrong sometimes when I go to screw it on and not screw half way down. Maybe you are having the same issue?
