Jax Performance in Herndon is my guy since he's a Mustang specialist. But I'm sure there's a speedshop/Mustang guy a lot closer to you.

I got my Steeda installed by Bill Wise at Burnt Mills Auto & Body Shop on MD-29 in Silver spring. I am sure he can do the MGW too.

Yes you did and I am very happy with his work as well his rates - sometime I feel even if he charged more I'd still be going to him (hope he is not reading this!!)

Hey did you get your shifter installed by Bill yet? If so how much did he quote you and how do you like it so far?
I am planning on getting the mgw too and want to know where to get it installed around the dmv lol

Do you want to try the Steeda short-throw? So you have a frame of reference?

After doing a bit of research MGW kept coming up as the go to shifter. So I am pretty confident that will be the one I go with. But I am just concerned about finding a reputable shop around the DMV and what it would cost to install lol

Honestly I’ve wondered that myself. He does the mechanic stuff and the other guys there do the body work from what I’ve gathered when I go there (and his IG)
But for body work I always recommend two places to people:
APAC in Lithicum
Signature Finishes in Brooklyn(near Glen Burnie)

So I ended up going to Bill. It was in the shop for not too long at all. I definitely recommend him.

It was installed for $260 or $280 I can't remember. But he knocked out the installation pretty quick. I definitely recommend him.
As for the MGW, I'm loving it. I have nothing to compare it too but anything is better than the stock shifter. Putting it into reverse is easy after a few times, i don't know why people are saying it's too hard. There were a couple times in the beginning when I wanted to down shift from 6 to 5 and it ended up downshifting into 3. It naturally wants to be in neutral position. I just gotta give a little more push away from neutral when dealing with 5th and 6th.
