I have had mine for several months and love mine.. Question for others though.. Anyone with or could take pics of the rear from a low perspective so as to see how the exhaust hangs. I installed mine by myself and to me the pipes seem to hang low under the axle. I haven't made it back under the car to do anything as i don't have a lift, i used simple AutoZone ramps to lift rear off ground to install and wasn't much room for maneuvering. I haven't had time either to swing by exhaust shop to check.. It isn't a problem at the moment and have gone through pleanty of dips without an issue. However I'm looking to lower the car so it could pose a problem then.

I am a little confused after reading a lot of these posts, what is the point of having an upgraded exhaust if one doesn't upgrade the downpipe, I thought an upgraded downpipe is where one gets all the extra power, the exhaust is just for noise, correct?

I have the race version. I'll answer my questions to the best of my ability.

1. The exhaust is not excessively loud at low RPMs. It is completely tolerable and not attention-whorey at all. However, if you have a manual and rev match your downshifts to higher RPMs (like 3k+) you will get a lot of pops and some cackle. It sounds great and can draw attention if you want it, but it can also be avoided easily as well. I've never had complaints about my system and I live in town and leave at random hours throughout the middle of the night.

2. It can drone a little, but not bad. On the highway it is usually fine but there is one road I travel everyday and the speed limit is 40, I have to run in 5th gear and I find the exhaust drones a lot in 5th @ 40.

3. I just went on a 2 hour highway trip last night cruising 75+ the whole time and drone was not noticeable at all. The exhaust adds a little extra vibration to the car, but definitely livable and well worth it for the improved sound, imo.

I love my race version and I kinda wish it was a little louder, but loudness and what is acceptable is very subjective.
I have the MBRP race and agree with this guy. Here are some of my videos.

The street sounds a little rice IMO. I went with the race, but the highway drone drives me nuts. Drone seems to be much worse with the windows up, since it causes all kinds of vibrations and rattles with the interior door panels and dash. When the windows are down though, man does it sound good regardless.

My wife thinks I'm crazy because I have switched between it and the stock system about 10 times now. :headbonk: It's on the car right now, but who knows when I'll decide its too loud again and take it back off.

Disclaimer: I am highly sensitive to drone.

I have the MBRP race with catless downpipe. It's a tad bit droney at highway speeds and it doesn't sound too good after 4k rpm. Sounds awesome in lower RPM's when it spits and backfires. Everyone has their own taste but it's a bit too loud for me with the downpipe... if it was just the catback it probably wouldn't be as bad. I will be adding a resonator tomorrow to try and quiet some of the drone and reduce the raspiness.

Holly Hannah, that turbo blow off sound. Do you have any mods for it or is it just natural because of the new exhaust?

I have a MBRP race exhaust on my car. Sound wise it is GREAT. But the fitment and the build quality frankly are terrible. I likely will end up selling mine down the road and going with a Full Race turbo back street version.
