The Corsa Sport and Borla-S are deep at idle and low speeds. When you hit high RPM's with Borla there is some rasp. The Corsa Sport actually keeps it's tone at the high RPM's. Watch some of the videos especially the one with Shawn from Hypermotive doing the Corsa Sport catback, he says this.
Im literally in the purchasing boat right now and I'm debating between S-Type or MBRP Race. I'm getting the S-type for just over a $1000, thats why i'm in such a debate. I do like the MBRP's aggressive tone but Borla's very well known for their quality exhausts. I wish I could hear them both in person side by side.

Mine sounds a hella lot better than that. Odd.

My MBRP Street also sounds way better than that video. Even at WOT it still sounds good. But I guess sound is kind of subjective. Also after 9 months of that stock exhaust I think straight pipe with old coffee cans welded in for mufflers would have sounded better. :headbonk:

I'm wondering if those (most) of us that used the clamps (vs. welding) at the axle back are experiencing a leak that shows itself at high(er) RPMs. Perhaps the clamps aren't tight enough or are inferior...just brainstorming.

I love my street. It has some rasp up high but like some have stated it has mellowed as it ages. I also agree on the fact that with headers it will sound better. I think the stock headers help cause some of that rasp.

That's a good question. Anyone know if welding would make a difference in sound?

Not if the clamps are tightened properly. I've thought of this as well as tip placement. Nothing seems to change the sound. Everyone has the rasp, some just don't call it rasp or are not bothered by it.
