I just wanted to say that I am disappointed with Maryland Speed and their lack of communication. I ordered an exhaust from them 5 weeks ago and still have not received it. They told me 2-3 weeks. I realize it may be out of their hands but no one has called me or emailed me to give me an update. I had to call them (2 weeks ago) to see what's up with the order. Nothing since. Great price but sub-par sales person and communication from them.

Hello, Your order status was updated this week. I see an update in your order history. You did not call us two weeks ago. You called early this week, I talked to you, got an update from the manufacturer, and put it in your order history. When you call us and ask for a good deal on a part we don't stock, we offer a great discount, order it from the supplier on our stock order, and when it comes in, it comes in. We don't do running updates or nag the manufacturer for the part. Part of the reason we have the discount to give you is we snuck it in on a stock order, so when it is done, it ships. In this case the order has run longish, but we have been told it will ship this week. If you want to pay hundreds more at website price, then we can buy from wholesalers and do all kinds of other things to get you to product faster. At a barebones price however, it is what it is.

Apparently you are getting me confused with someone else. All I expected is some sort of communication that the product was going to take longer than usual from what you originally told me. I called you on Feb 10 11:25am and talked with some lady. In my est. that's 2 weeks ago. Furthermore, there is no update on my history. I have been logging on to see any updates. None since purchased. I will call you and discuss this further with you in private just send me your name and number in a PM.

No. I didnt get a PM from them so I called them again on the 29th. They told me they would email me back with updated info. A few days later I got an email that stated Kooks would be finished with them at the end of this week. We shall see.

I apologize for getting you mixed up earlier.

As of right now we only have 1-2 Mustang orders sitting out there. Dennis is one of them and the oldest order we have open. We did give him a great deal, and told him when he ordered it was special order. Basically he ordered a Kooks header plus catback setup. Most people get the value packs, which are headers and mid pipes, and they ship fast. His order is the first order for a headers and full catback, and we are finding it is just not shipping that fast. We gave an estimated ship time, and it is past that. That said, it is the first time we ordered this setup, and we tried to give a big enough discount to give us some leaway in the customer. We have the order marked as our top priority every week with the manufacturer. It turns into "Well I have not gotten any updates". Reality is, there is no update. When it is done, it ships. The manufacturer knows it is a priority, but we are not going to start offering up dates that it may ship until we are certain. The simple reality is, just like the customer we have ordered it, and are waiting on them to make it.

We are learning from this, and in the future will not discount special order/non standard setups so much. Everyone is cool when they are getting several hundred dollars off. Then as soon as it takes long for the manufacturer, we become the bad guy (even though we ordered and are waiting for it also). Frankly we would rather pass on this business, then give someone a deal no one else will touch only to have it turn into negative feedback on the forums.

That info above is the only update/info I needed to hear. Thank you. But my only gripe was that I would have liked to hear that from you a few weeks ago. It shouldnt have to take the forum or me calling you guys to find this out. This is my first time too ordering headers and a catback. For me, and probably most people, this is a huge purchase that I've already paid for.
The sales guy told me 2-3 weeks and when that time expired all I expected was a quick email or call or something with the above information. That's it.

I have no prior knowledge about how long things take for headers and catbacks to come from Kooks or any other manufacturer. Heck I didnt think ordering headers and a catback at the same time was that uncommon.

Again, thank you for the update and especially for the good deal Maryland Speed it just stinks having to wait so long.
