I had a good local exhaust shop make my own cat deletes. Cost me about $150 parts and labor lol.

This is a quick easy soluition if you don't care about easily swapping back. Or in my case you want a full 3" exhaust. My vote is cat deletes, headers just aren't enought bang for buck to me compared to the deletes

i've come to this conclusion as well... especially for people who aren't drag racing and don't need every single ounce of hp... i would probably still pick cat deletes over headers even for road racing, unless someone paid me to put headers on it lol. hp per dollar ratio is just higher on mak deletes + install compared to headers +install.

i still want headers though for sake of saying i have headers but either choice for me is nascar lol.

Haha that extreme exhaust will definitely be nascar loud. I plan on hacking up my H-pipe to add 2-12" long 3" resonators to help keep my MBRP Street calm. Hoping to have an exhaust that is only loud when I want it, and no drone. Cold start will be loud either way without a set of turbo mufflers or something.

you doing your own install? Have you priced installation? Just curious. I know I could probably get it done reasonably here in Houston, but others are paying crazy high rates.

I'm doing the install so at end of day the deal I got only cost me a little over what cat delete and install would cost. if I wasn't doing install myself then I would have went with cat deletes

Since I'm in Cali I got shorty headers and will go cat deletes when I finally get a tune. If it were another state that was not strict I would definitely went cat deletes
