Had a H-pipe on my 2020 GT with active exhaust. The h-pipe addition was much louder than stock, but made the raspiness of the stock exhaust more pronounced.
Just installed the axle-back competitions (with valves) behind the H-pipe and it’s definitely the sound I was looking for (deep aggressive) but surprisingly much much quieter than with the stock active exhaust and h pipe. The tone is great though throughout even with high RPM, no rasp at all.
Would changing the H-pipe to a X pipe increase the volume and keep the deep tone of the competitions? The x pipe would be plug and play.
I considered the Borla Switchfire but I think I might be about an inch too short with what I already have cut out. My h-pipe is 32”, anyone have an idea of what the Borla switchfire is?
