Why the Magnaflow Comp over all of the other AM exhaust offerings ?

What was it ?

Sound ?

Price ?

I imagine you'll do a review late this year.

The reason I ask is, for me, something with the right tone but not too offensive to the neighbours is probably important.

Well Paul, I was chasing a DEEP sound and want to avoid the rasp as much as possible.
By all reviews, the Magnaflows are THE deepest sounding mufflers on the market.
Paired with an H pipe, rather than an X, this should get me nearer to those sound I'm looking for.
It won't be for everyone.
CJPP have a vid of this exact combo, sounds awesome and even Bill from CJ says it's the deepest of all, likening it to a cammed small-block... Lethal have one too.

Price is good too. Landed here in Aus approx $1100, again, go to Frankenstein.

I had a good listen through a mates seriously expensive sound system.
Blew me away. Listened to quite a few set-ups that way and I can say that it makes a WORLD of difference.
Nothing's ever gonna be as good as up close and personal, but this was close.
Even a portable Bluetooth speaker misses soooooo much of what goes on.

Just a word of caution. IMO the Comp Cat-Back is plenty deep enough. One of the best exhaust notes ive ever heard.

If you are daily driving, id be very careful about the H-Pipe setup. Same goes if you do any freeway driving.

Also a general comment, on videos. They just dont pick-up the true frequencies that you get in person, it sounds obvious but its only clear when you actually have an exhaust fitted to your Mustang. Ive played all these vids on my Klipsh Reference system and its still a long way off. The vids should really only be used as a guide towards the type of system you want, old school deep, or new school raspy.
Do whatever you can do to hear them in person first. Obviously this is easier said than done and a lot of us have pulled the trigger without hearing one first.
