Looking for a gt350. I'm a tinkerer. I like to turn knobs on shock and make the car do what I want it to do.

Question is, I want the track package because of the engine oil, trans and diff coolers, but I don't want the magnetic ride shocks, I want aftermarket coilovers. Has anyone disconnected their mag ride shocks to see if they get a check engine light or if it does anything else. Is there a way to turn the shocks off so when disconnected and removed so it doesn't do anything?

Thats what i was thinking but didn't know how hard it would be to add that stuff on after the fact.

I see that you are in Livermore - I live in Walnut Creek and have a base GT350. I'd be happy to give you a ride in it to see what the car is like stock. You may be better off buying a base GT350 and adding what you want later. I'm not very intelligent to the matter, though I think it would be a cost savings - factor in CA taxes on the extra $6500 option too!

DSC sport is rumored to be delveloping a system for the magneride equiped cars, maybe a nice middle ground option

But I agree, adding a diff and tranny cooler should be much cheaper than $6500, even if you need a remote pump for the tranny. I do believe I read ford racing might be developing kits. Considering they specifically mention adding them to base and tech cars for track use, it wouldnt surprise me if that turns out to be true

Im in Livermore as well, hoping to have my track pack car here in a week or two, can perhaps compliment bretlasalles offer to see how it the two cars behave side by side

Thanks guys, appreciate the offers. I'm still trying to find a car without a exorbitant ADM. I know its a long shot. I want either a base or track pack car (but leaning towards base) Deep Impact Blue without stripes.

No problem. If you do find a DIB with stripes, they are just vinyl so you can peel them off. Will be pretty tough to find a DIB base are in dealer inventory however.

That is true. Guess that might help broaden my search. I'd be willing to order, but its just finding one right now willing to play ball.

There may be a base DIB in Missoula, MT. If I recall correctly that was the color, and I think it's listed at 10k over. Check there and happy negotiating.

No clue as to ADM but, Salinas Valley has a DIB Track with Stripes and cover.

Salinas wants 103,000 for theirs. Some of the ones that im finding online appear to be going for msrp, but they had add ons like the tech or track package. Las Vegas Ford has a base model, but they want 80k+
