Okay, so I finally got in all of the parts I needed to install so I could load the tune. Initially I had an issue with the SCT needing an update (which was done through Wi-Fi), and not realizing that it was up to date. Plugging it into the computer and running the SCT Device Updater seems to solve that, though.

Install was easy, just like any tune I've used before. Starting it up, I could notice a difference. The car's RPMs jumped slightly above normal, then one more time to about 1700 before dropping down again and coming to normal at about 650-700.

The roads are dry now and I figured this was my chance to test the car on a short run. Living in a slightly more rural area, there are still some nice twisty back-roads between the farms to run her on (don't worry, they're paved). Leaving my house the car felt a little more touchy, and for a moment I thought I was just new... Then I realized it was just a better throttle response. Normal driving didn't seem much different, other than the quicker response from giving her gas. Sport mode and back roads, that's where I could tell the difference. The car just feels unleashed and like it can run a bit more openly. Again, the throttle is so much quicker and more response, the engine snaps more quickly into play and the car is able to really run through the RPMs just giving me noticeably more than it ever has.

I'm really satisfied with everything, and I think I have now have a solid base to build off of. If people were ever worried about going with SCT because of a lack in parameters, don't. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire set up and I really have to thank Terry at Beefcake Racing for not only hooking me up with a great deal (as he always does), but also helping me settle on the SCT and not worry, myself. If you haven't picked up a tuner/tune- message Terry!

Good stuff to hear. As far as the parameters, I think thats been taken care of, Lund also said SCT made a few updates. I revised mine this morning and its definately fixed, little more driving will be able to tell and hopefully runs as good as yours.

Great review. People should always remember to drive for several days before comparing to stock because flashing the PCM clears the KAM(keep alive memory) which by itself can make the car feel more peppy. Things like throttle, fuel maps, various other adaptations(especially autos) that happen within the PCM can make the car feel 'normal' and when reset by tuning or simply pulling the battery cable the car sometimes feels faster.

Glad people are having good results with the latest SCT revisions.

I agree with you both. SCT's last update was 3/31 and there was a lot to it. Really don't think there will be any issues with parameters. I still don't have enough seat time with the tune to get deeper into the details- I need to keep driving it.
