I want to put this kit on my Mustang V6 2015. This kit is for 2011-2014 but would bolt right up with minor tweeks.

http://www.lpfbuilt.com/2011-2014-Mu...-Kit_p_10.html

Problem is the tuning. Since our cars are now MAP instead of MAF the tuners like SCT, Diablo and such have no means of tuning something like this or have no interest. Not sure which...

Could I use something like this? It's a universal piggyback ecu. If you read the description and benefits it seems like the perfect device to tune this car. It's a lot of work on a dyno $$$?

http://www.powerhouseracing.com/p-44...yback-ecu.aspx

I did something similar with my G35 turbo. I had a utec piggyback ecu for the tuning and it did the trick. Could I not do the same here?

Suggestions? Tech talk welcome.

I don't see why it wouldn't work... My only concern would be having the 1 BAR MAP read and make adjustments when under boost... having a MAF is so much easier when it comes down to FI...

If you read the description of the ecu piggyback unit it seems to say that it overrides the factory map sensor and is ideal for NA to FI applications.

I already have a tuner that tells me it's very doable and not as hard as it seems. I wish some people with ecu (standalone or piggyback) tuning could chime in on this. The UTEC on my G35 actually converted my factory MAF to MAP!

well then it shouldn't be hard at all. If all the parameters can be made to run and you have somebody that knows what they are doing, i would definitely go for it. Plus, you would (99% sure) be the first turbo 3.7 v6 2015 Mustang :D

I'm a noob so I don't have anything to say besides good luck and I'm very interested in seeing how this turns out. These things can do like 450 wheel horse power right? Sheesh.

Let me start off by saying i am in no way trying to v6 bash. I really would like to understand why one would spend thousands trying to bring a v6 to the power level of a v8? Please educate this motorhead. I grew up on v8s sorry

I don't understand why guys put huge rims and lift kits on mustangs. But people have the right do whatever they want with their $$ and their car. :headbang::headbang:

I think it's he challenge of it, maybe the novelty of it, and probably a little bit of splitting the cost out more than plunking it all down on a V8.

Myself - I won't consider a SC, but I will do what I can to affordably maximize what I have. (sssshhhh.....don't tell my car but I'm planning on trading her in in a couple years for a GT after I get done paying for the ex-wife)

That vid that was posted has me intrigued. I know these v6s are beasts, but ive always been looking for the most bang for my buck. A turbo v6 would be a one of a kind.

As I already posted in another thread a while back, in Canada the Mustang GT starts at $38000 whereas a V6 can be had for nearly $25000. That's $13000 to play with. A turbo kit around $5000 + $1000 for ecu and add ons + $1000 of extras and labour and you have a machine that will CRUSH a V8 for around $7000-$8000. That leaves $5000 in the bank. I did say CRUSH. A turbo V6 with the proper tires can pull 11's (as seen in my video) whereas a V8 can hardly pull 13 flat. No contest...
