The black aluminum rear window louvers in this thread IMO look the best as far as nostalgic and going back to the Classic 69-70 Mustang roots.

As much as I like them and the styling, I can’t ever put a set on any Mustang that I own because it would just drive me absolutely nuts trying to look out a dirty rear window - or having to deal with the on/off for washing/detailing the car.
I just removed my ebay MMD (plastic) and installed my Speedform (aluminum). Honestly removing 6 washers and nuts is not a big deal to clean the window.
The MMD we’re getting old and I had to sand and repaint them every year. They would also crack and I had to epoxy them. They held up though. I didn’t notice any real bad vibration from them at speed. I did install extra mounts for them. My wife protested that I should replace them instead of having to sand them down and repaint them. She pointed out the aluminum ones and I pointed out the price $600+. She then found a used set for $30 and we bought it and painted them. I like the look batter and because of the way they are made I have more visibility with the aluminum set. I completely understand people buying the plastic set. They’re more affordable. I bought my plastic set on eBay in an auction for $1.00 plus $20. Shipping.
For now they’re going up on the garage wall as decour. Unless I run into someone that absolutely has to have them and makes me an offer I can’t refuse. Considering how much I paid for them that threshold isn’t too high.
To me I like the looks, reminds me of muscle cars of the past. It also keeps the interior cooler during the summer and the rear window free of condensation in the colder months.

Love rear louvers…but I also grew up in the 70/80 timeframe so yea.

however…pretty sure if I added them, my secret gt350R decoder ring would get repossessed 🙈

Yea, had louvers on the rear window back in the 80’s. Window film solves the sun and heat problem and simplifies cleaning the rear window. I will give you the looks, but other than that I cannot say it does anything. Just like the rear spoiler on my car.
