Well, finally got the insurance put back on the Shelby as of April 7th. Removed the Wheel Dollies and repositioned the car to back out of the garage. Decided to take her for a short drive and then did an ONR cleanup, removing the light coating of dust that had collected over the winter. I'm still amazed at how well this product works and how simple it is to apply in any weather.

Today I backed the Shelby into the Garage for the very first time and cleaned out the rear diffuser. Followed the recommendations of a fellow forum member who suggested I remove the back clips/bolts and just vacuum out the inside. The lowering of the back end worked well as the front is on a hinge.
It really wasn't as bad as I expected it to be as far as debris.
I even found some track rubber in there which I keep as souvenir's in a Route 66 cup on a shelf in the garage.

Attempted to add Bemaro Films Vinyl overlays to the Brembo Brakes, but quickly realized the color would not work. Really got lost on the calipers and actually prefer the silver.white lettering. Less is more sometimes

Dash Buzz Rattle 2.1 update. Well, I took the Shelby out on the first drive a couple weeks ago and the front dash buzz rattle was actually worse than before pulling off the dash and adding matting material. The good news was the back rear passenger quarter panel was fixed, but not the front.
Borrowed my 20 year old daughter to sit in the passenger seat and drove back and forth down my street in 1st gear attempting to identify where the buzzing noise was coming from. I pulled the dash panels off just to be sure that was not the source. Finally decided it was near the instrument cluster area.
After numerous test drives and constant pressing and banging on panels I finally identified the front dash panels near the windshield which vent heat and ac.
There was a small panel just below the dash cowl up on top that when I pressed on it I heard a "click" and felt it seat into place. One of the panel clips must have been unseated and just need to be put back in place.
I ran the car with and without the dash panel installed and problem is solved!
Here is a link to a thread that talks about the dash panel area in term of noises.
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...ter-of-the-dash-rattling.103794/#post-2991800
Also including some pictures of the area in question.
Hope this helps someone else.

Another post about noises.... a small rattle coming from the doors ended up being the door handle inserts I purchased a few years ago. They fill in the gap in the door handle providing a place to insert a cell phone etc. There was padding on the long side of the insert, but nothing on the sides. The inserts were moving/jiggling front to back within the door handle inserts. Added some Hush Mat material to the ends of the inserts and not they fit tight and snug. Should also help with confidence when grabbing the door handle itself.

A few weeks ago my grand kids discovered the Shelby for the very first time. Since then they have asked to sit in "the race car" every time they come over. My oldest grandson even asked me questions about the shifter lever and the third pedal.
I've heard stories from my adult kids of peers who have have never seen or been in a manual transmission vehicle before.
My grand kids will be fully educated on the wonders of the manual transmission.

Completed an update (3.4) on the Ford Sync 3 system. They recommend going to the website and downloading the update to a usb flash drive vs attempting to download directly from the wifi in the vehicle.
It took a while for the update to complete and there was no indication on the screen that it was successful. I turn off the car, waiting, turned it back on and the Sync system asked me a series of questions regarding reporting data. I then went into the "About Sync 3" option to confirm the new update was applied.

Installed the DK Garage pull handle for the back trunk. Install was pretty straightforward and a really nifty hack for keeping your hands off the rear spoiler and desk lid when closing the trunk. Only complaint was the strap was too long as it hung over the edge of the trunk threshold and was getting crushed by the trunk lid weather stripping. I removed the unit and punched new holes in the strap approx 1/2 inch on each side of the strap and reattached to the bolts in the trunk lid lock mechanism.
Love that they made them in a variety of colors as well.

Yes, very much so. Purchased them off ebay. Was a bit skeptical at first, but very good quality.
I had these when I bought my 2016 GT and have kept them on each of my Mustangs. My wife also uses a seat belt extender (Ford OEM Part) to keep the belt from rubbing on her neck.

Finally have my detailing supplies dialed in and organized. Started using Rags to Riches laundry detergent specifically designed for micro fiber towels.

After four years of ownership I finally dug into the Performance Shift Light Indicator feature and controls.
The settings allow you to select from three different patterns: Tach, Track, and Drag Strip.
The tach is not very useful as it only graphically shows your tachometer movement. The track and drag strip allow you set your rpm shift point and give you both a visual and audio (optional) indicator of when to shift depending on where you set the shift point.
I will most likely only use this on the track as a visual of redline thresholds.
.
Here is a video from Ford explaining the features
