Has anyone noticed if their door glass feels a little loose when opening or closing a door?

My passenger side seems to go with a bit of a clunk, particularly when opening. There's bound to be some give in it given the design but the passenger side has noticeably more than the driver's.

I tried to demonstrate this to my dealer, but it seemed okay when I was there, I think because it's next to a busy road and you can't hear it. It goes with a bit of a clunk when the door is opened in quieter surroundings.

Is the auto drop working as it should? It can be reset.

Yes, it's working. It's hard to explain what the issue is. Might be the angle that's not right. I'll have to play round on a day when the weather is better, maybe do some vids. Dealer should sort if it is a real issue, just difficult demonstrating it when I'm there

Doing a bit of digging on the US side of the forum it looks like what I'm experiencing is the window catching on the door seal as it is not dropping fast enough. Also looks like the fix is to replace the window regulator and motor. Not an idea I'm keen on!

On other models with pillarless windows I've seen the same feature where the glass lowers slightly when you open the door, but what usually happens is that there is a slight delay from when you pull the handle to the door actually unlatching, obviously to allow time for the window to lower. However, this doesn't seem to happen on the Ford, everything happens at once, so the window lowering that tiny fraction has to be quick if it is all to happen smoothly

Maybe a silly question but have you tried to reset them? I have them on my jag & have reset them occasionally because of catching. Worth a try before dealer anyway

No, not tried it yet. Will give it a go but don't hold out much hope from what I have read.

I had/have the same issue with mine, the left side door. I took it to the dealership last week, and the service writer noted they are familiar with the problem. Apparently Ford has some type of bulletin regarding it. The service manager did a specific combination of opening and closing the window to calibrate it and it improved the situation somewhat. When fully opened, my window still had about .25 inch above the sill. With calibration he did, the window now completely retracts. Now when the door is opened, instead of a clank or clatter of the window catching, its more of a click.

So an improvement, and a record started so any future issues are covered. Otherwise I'm really enjoying the car. Hope you are enjoying yours as well, and the fix will be relatively simple.
