Hi,
I am troubleshooting an electrical fault in my tight headlamp. Can someone help me with the location of the headlight control module and what it looks like. Thank you in advance.

There is no separate module for the headlights. They're controlled directly by the Body Control Module, which is behind the interior trim panel ahead of the passenger door in the passenger footwell. The BCM controls a ton of stuff in the car, and it's more likely that the problem is the lamp rather than the BCM.

Hi Thanks for the info. Believe me, I wish it were the lamp but when I plug the passenger lamp into the drivers side plug, it works fine.

Look for faulty connector or loose pins in the connector going to the headlamp assembly.

Look for signs of rodent damage to wiring harness somewhere along the lath of that harness.

I would also check for water intrusion in the area of the BCM. S550’s are known to have some water issues due to A-pillar seals missing, a windshield not being properly sealed or bad weld in the windshield channel allowing water to seep into the interior.
