I can not believe the "ASE" mechanics that freak out when I ask them if they can load the Ford tune. I hard is this??? Haven't ordered yet because I wanted to have "ducks in a row" first. Local dealer isn't local to me, and never been impressed with them.
I was wondering if I could just load myself and be done. What do I need to install tune, does it load itself?

after you buy the package you could connect to car and laptop/wifi, download new file and then bring to ASE tech to "hit enter key".

That's what I was thinking, Is there anyway to screw it up? It either loads or doesn't right? These guys are acting like I asking them to rob a liquor store. Blows my mind

Well, as long as car battery is fully charged, laptop battery charged or plugged in to AC you shouldnt have issues. Takes 10 mins or so. The instructions are straight forward.

My local dealer had to keep the car overnight when I asked them to install my tune.
Apparently the guy who knew how had the day off and the tech that was working on my car couldn't figure how to change de final drive ratio from 3.31 to 3.73 that was being done at the same time.

~2 months later, same dealer asked me if my car was tuned when I brought it in for a dead battery at ~3000km.
Told me they could not connect to the ecu and couldn't figure why and tough I might have installed an aftermarket tune, I had to insist that wasn't the case and that it was tuned by them 2 months ago. They kept the car overnight again to figure out the next morning that the battery was too low to read the ecu. Duh! thats why I brought you the car dumbass...

Lets just say that I dont plan to use that dealership for anything else at this point.

Hopefully you'll have a better experience then me.
