$/HP gain not worth it IMHO.The wheels are $12,000 though.......

Motor Trend did a comparison of a GT350 and GT350R (lighter weight wheels on the R)
The GT350 put down 467 hp / 374 torque, the R 471 hp / 376 torque.

I wouldn't say that. Any error or production variances, could have actually swung in favor of the GT350R.So essentially equal within the dynos margin of error and slight production variances.
I'm not arguing that lighter wheels aren't better.I wouldn't say that. Any error or production variances, could have actually swung in favor of the GT350R.
It's just math that lighter wheels/tires = less rotational mass = more power to the ground. It's also gets there quicker too.
of course but thats why you run them multiple times and average it, am I wrong on that?I'm not arguing that lighter wheels aren't better.
Just that those dyno numbers are so close together that if you used two different cars that the numbers might turnout the other way. Back to back runs of the same car can change more than 4hp and 2 tq.
:doh:Has anyone done any dyno or track comparison between a GTPP wheel and lighter wheel? I would like to know dropping 40+ lbs rotational mass is worth it or not. Thanks guys!
