I never really change my lights from Automatic. I was pulled over this weekend for my taillights not being on. Rotated one notch to manual, they worked again. Went back to Automatic and they worked like normal. Has anyone else come across this problem before? All the exterior lights are factory. The car has less than 10,000 miles on it. Here's a video from being pulled over: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRWHRfMF/

When my car was brand new the driver side headlights and tail lights wouldn’t turn on when set to auto. Turned them off, on manually and they worked, and then back to auto and haven’t had a problem in four years now. No idea why, but it hasn’t been an issue since.

Ford f-150's have a Recall iirc on this .
I don't use automatic setting, I don't see the need, and it is a bad habit to get into when other vehicles I drive don't have this.
Frankly I think automatic lights should have never been an option.
