Light Squeaking on New 2016 GT PP

Hi all,

I've been noticing there is a slight squeaking noise coming from brakes. It does in a consistent manner whether in high speed, or low speed brake. Car has about 1000 miles and it's a PP. I am taking to the dealer next week, along with cooled seat problem. Is this a normal squeak on a new PP? Might be brakes breaking in?

Yes. You're experiencing standard brembo brake squeal. You can drop to a more street friendly pad. It will dust less and make less noise. Or you can bump to a track pad. Dust less but squeals more (usually).

just do a few 100-0 brake tests and that squeal will go away.

Pretty common. My car is over a year old and I would experience the noise every so often, but nothing of long duration or irritation.

Well, my car hit 16k miles and it has not STOPPED making noise for the last 2 weeks. It is the most aggravating, nerve racking sound. and only at parking lot/ stop sign speeds
