Any passenger vehicle getting hit by a semi truck doesn't have a chance.
Not true. There are a few vehicles that stood up well. Do the research. Its out there.

I assume 40, 000 lb at 40 mph and drum brakes is gonna mash me into goo as it squishes my vehicle into the rear end oxf whatever's in front of me so I always leave 5 yds gap in front and keep an eye on my rear view for he cement truck or fuel hauler texting while driving.

Have never heard of seen any survival o semi rear ender or rear ending unless zero traffic in front of the car and no cliffs, trees, ditches etc.

I’ll throw this in here since it is a shocker for me. Now that we are here in Florida she wants to get rid of the BMW convertible and she wants a manual retractable roof Bronco. She has not told me what color she wants but eruption green is a possibility. I am not against this but I’ve never owned anything but two door cars in my entire life. For the most part. Thoughts?
Wha are you calling the retrac roof. the oversized sun roof panel?

Unless they stopped making it there is a soft top that you can manually fold to the back and stow making the Bronco essentially a convertible.

My Bronco is my DD/winter vehicle and as practical as I go for a car. Driving it back to back with a Wrangler and Tacoma, I liked the Bronco a lot more. Years ago I had a 350Z and a XJ.

I have the 4dr hard top, usually only take the two front panels off. Thinking about getting the Bestop Sunrider or Skyrider at some point.

I do not regret buying a 4 door with the Mustang being my other car. The Mustang and the 4 door Bronco are almost exactly the same length. I regularly fill it with friends or coworkers when going out 2-3x a week. The backseat in the 2 door may have headroom and legroom, but egress in and out is quite bad and storage is substantially less. I had an opportunity to compare both side by side before purchasing, 2 door Badlands vs 4 door Wildtrak. If you do not need the back seat ever, go 2 door and remove it. The rear seat does not even come close to folding flat in the 2 door.

I am not a truck person, and I see a lot of Bronco owners have a big truck as the other vehicle and the 2 door Bronco is their toy.
i have a super duty, a mach1, and a 2 door wildtrack!!!

Afaik, all 4-doors are standard soft tops, while 2-doors have a standard hard top. If you want the opposite, it's an option.

I have a 2 door Big Bend Bronco which has been absolutely fantastic. Fun Fun Car. Had a 2017 GT vert and just didn't like the feel of it.
Bought the bestop sunrider for the retractable top open experience. It really works great.
Yes, some people have had issues with their Bronco, but for the most part they have been a great vehicle overall.

I did not know that. All the ones I've seen have been hard tops.

So I pulled the trigger today on just a base Bronco in white. I will make all the upgrades myself as I go along. They gave me a great trade-in on the BMW after pushing a lot. So this is basically a wash for me as I will own the Bronco and start over with a new warranty.

Holy shit! You are a genius. Since we’re in Florida OJ will have two meanings and it’s hilarious. :giggle:

Good color choice. I've been testing several models with aim to get body colored hard top in white of course or a '26 with electric soft top, or a Bronco Sport Badlands SAS.

I'm having difficulty with the highway speed sudden avoidance stability though (like dodging a deer, sleeping semi driver etc) thing feels like it's gonna trip over itself and roll. Would love to see one do the moose test. How good does ESP work!

Most likely need I would need fatter sway bars since don't rock crawl or heavy off road thanks except with KTM
