I would skip the lemon buy back car, as well. In the long run, it will not be worth it.

When I was searching for a used GT350 last year, there were a couple of dealers who had several 2017 and 2018 buy backs. I learned that Ford auctions them off in private dealer-only sales and certain dealerships gravitate towards that type of car. The "extra" 12m/12K warranty was useless, since it runs concurrent with the existing 3y/36K, so there was no warranty incentive to buy one. The extra $5-7K I would have saved would be lost when I tried to sell it down the road. Plus, there is no guarantee the engine was properly replaced, as many have reported ongoing issues when the dealer did not do a good job with the work.

I would get the newest GT350 with the lowest miles you can afford. Preferably, a 2018 or 2019 with at least a year of the factory warranty remaining.
