Very surprised that this dealership is allowing the owner to decide if they want to have the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) completed. Granted, I never worked for Ford, however I did work for a few import companies (Volvo & BMW), both in the service dept. for 6 years, as well as 4 years being a warranty administrator. That was 10+ years ago, but at that time, it was imperative that the PDI was done which began the warranty record for that vehicle.
Congrats! Hope it's quick & somewhat painless...Well, dealer just called to let me know that my LE arrived to Phoenix on Saturday. Now the waiting begins for the car to be delivered to dealer.
Looks great Joey!

I think you were asking me. My LE is 316, built the same day as Brent's and being delivered to same part of the country so I thought ours might be shipping together. I purchased mine through a dealer in Sterling VA but I live in MS.
Yall realize we have our own forum now right? ;)
You mean this onem right?:Yall realize we have our own forum now right? ;)
Don't mind at all. I wasn't really in the market for a new Mustang until about a month ago when I saw my first 2015 in person at a local car show. I was blown away by the car and immediately started looking into buying one. In the process I learned about the LEs. How I missed the publicity on them over the spring and summer I can't explain but decided I really wanted one. The two local dealers were allocated one each and both were already sold. I expanded my search and quickly learned that they were very hard to find and that dealers were getting a premium over MSRP. The dealer in VA had a couple which were not sold and I was able to work out a deal that was over MSRP but which I could stand. Seems like prices are continuing to climb so I guess I'm glad I acted when I did.More than likely I will have it trucked to MS when it comes in.RMCrump,
Thanks, I was asking you ... if you don't mind me asking, why did you purchase in Sterling VA if you live in MS? That's a long drive (we just visited family near Jackson this summer, and if I recall correctly, it was about a 15 hour drive, whew that's a long haul)!
HA HA hahaha , I background waitingGOOD AFTERNOON (future, and current,) LE Owners!!!!
I got a more specific update from my dealer yesterday afternoon...
It turns out that update I received, back on 11/6, that said "Re-released and Ready for shipping" on 11/5, location was Ramp 5A, Flat Rock, MI, (with no ETA) ... more-or-less meant she was sitting there, in her pretty cover, waiting.
On 11/12 she was "Received A-AB-020" (United Road Service)” at midnight; location listed as Ramp 51, Flat Rock, MI with an ETA 11/22 - 11/28/14. Yeah, movement…
Then, twelve hours later, on 11/12 at 12:00 p.m. EST, she was showing as "Shipped Convoy - Convoy # _____ (United Road Service)" with a location of Ramp 51, Flat Rock, MI (still) and an ETA between 11/20 and 11/26 - yeah, moving up!
Then, Monday, I got another dealer update 11/14 at 9:29 ET which read "Received - OBOB411" CSX Transportation, now listed in New Boston, MI - updated ETA 11/21 - 11/27/14 ... Boo, moving backwards
Wait a minute, re-read that … Yep, it took 2 days to move 8.4 miles …
Not just 8.4 miles though, 8.4 miles in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
So at this point, I'm thinking, hmmm - 4 miles per day, she needs to go approx. 511 miles, let's see, that means....
OH CRAP SHE WILL ARRIVE IN 127 days?! GRRRRR!
Poor toes can’t take much more rock kicking..
However, yesterday afternoon I called back to see if I'd had any change. I spoke with my sales mgr. who said said he'd checked it at 2pm and there was nothing new, but it was now 3:00 and he'd look, for me.
Then, I finally got the best news I’ve received since it was done in production on 10/10/2014 – Yes, a full 5 weeks & 4 days later, he comes back and says,
"You won't believe it, she's officially on a train and underway; she left less than one hour ago!"
YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!COULD I BE MORE EXCITED?!
(Well, yes definitely, when she arrives, but for now this is something VERY positive... especially since the previous message was that she'd moved 8.4 miles in the wrong direction).
The latest update says, “Received – CSX Transportation Rail Car# ETTX 701….”, location - New Boston, MI, Nov-18-2014 15:00 ET, with a new ETA start date of 11/23 and ETA end date of 11/29.
Now that I had her "official" rail car number - not the initial numbers which I now presume were just confirmation #'s on the visibility report, I immediately called to check her status & hear it for myself… Yep, she's on her way to her first stop in Ohio! I'll probably be calling all week to track her across the Buckeye state, and beyond
Just wanted to share some good news with those of you who also have been painfully tortured with the waiting game that there's a light at the end of the (very long) tunnel!
She's not here yet, but it won't be long now. I have an (updated) ETA of 11/23 - 11/29, but I'm really hoping she can make it here before Thanksgiving, that would REALLY be something wonderful to be thankful for, especially after all this; Don’t get me wrong, if she’s not here, I'll still be thankful that I'm getting her, but it’ll be that much sweeter when she's actually in my driveway, or in her 'corral')!
Fingers crossed for a VERY fast, uneventful train ride followed by a quick truck ride from Baltimore to my dealership, followed by a VERY “spirited” ride home!
