Called my dealer today, and mine is apparently still on quality hold. They have to check mine for the catalytic converter issue. I guess I still likely have another month of waiting then... :(

That could be why. Yours was built on first day of full LE production. Yours was #26-#50 built (in that range).

That's so cool! I'm one of the first 50?! I just became a little bit more patient :lol:. Is there any way I can check exactly what number when I receive it?

SO - set me straight.....I've seen this before...but not asked about it.

I thought the last 4 digits of the VIN was the #built....which would match the dash plate / badge.

So whats the real deal ? VIN #381 might get a different dash plate / badge with a number like 150?

No. It should be it's Vin number. But cars are not built in Vin order. For example, mine (275) was built before bill ford's (1). Mine was between 75 and 100th.
I don't know how to find actual build sequence. I can get you close (within 25 to 40 depending on build date) but no way that I know of to get actual sequence.

Basically the the vin and the badge numbers will be the same in my case 5500127 and 127/1964. But the cars were not manufactured in order. So even though my car is 127 on the vin and the badge, it was actually (hypothetically) the 27th LE built. So again your vin, dash plate, and keyfob (if true) will all say 127. But you were built non-sequentially so were actually the 27th built.

That's correct. And technically yours was built in first batch. The 25 before you where in three days spread out 10-10 and 5 and where test cars. All stock orders and for qc and production verification

What number?

I called my dealer today asking for a status on mine, #386, they couldn't give me any info - stating that Ford had release any more data than what had already been provided; that it should be here any time between 10-31 and 11-05. Is there any way I could get any more info? I feel like they're blowing smoke up my ***.

They should be able to see if it's still in production or if it's been re-released.
