Are any of you LE owners going to try and pick up extra sets of wheels or the 1/4 louvered glass etc just to have extras of these exclusive parts?

Since not everyone can buy them, I have to think there is some rarity in them but just curious.

I wonder what the policy will be at Ford parts even, I know you have to have a LE to get the louvered windows but will they just let you buy some "cuz I want them?"

Good question. I was thinking about buying an extra set of wheels myself.

Yeah as expensive as they may be from Ford direct I'd want an extra set myself.

I think all the LE owners would like to have a real spare rim (that matches) - and of course, the tire that goes on it too! (assuming it would fit in the spare tire wheel well in the trunk). - I've not gotten around to taking both a front and a rear while with tire off - to see which ones fits...nor have I determined yet - if the front will function on the rear, or the rear function on the front.

Having said that - I think 4 LE owners should go in together and buy a set of 4....and each get one. Split the costs etc.

I would say it might be safe to say the rear would fit the front, with the extra .5" but I know the offset plays a role so can't say for 100%

If they will give you a set of 4 for cheaper count me in.

the problem is that a set of four will have two rears and two fronts. if the rears won't work on the front or vice versa, it'd be best to buy one at a time...

buy just the rim and tire separate

I was thinking about buying up as much of the 1/4 windows as they would allow and put my dealer mark up on them to sell to the impostors  lol

Then you'd have to get the rest of the door and Window Trim pieces as well.

As a previous (and current) owner of special edition Mustangs with bespoke parts, rest assured that many of the special LE bits will become available on lesser models down the road. I would be amazed if they didn't.

It costs far too much to tool up anything just for a 1,964 unit run.....

Lol there isn't anything to "tool up". The differences between the LE and PP+50AP is no where near enough to call for any tooling change. With MAYBE and exception for the creation (not installation) of the quarter windows.

I'm definitely going to try to find some of the louvered windows for my 50th AP.

Don't worry... I'm not going to paint it WW or KB, so y'all still be different. :)

Since not everyone can buy them,
Out of curiosity, I emailed the parts guy at my dealership and asked if I could order the louvered quarter windows.

He said he could order them today for me if I wanted them...

The price is what will keep people from buying them! $1600 MSRP each side.
