Is there a delay from cold start up until launch control can be activated?

My GT seems to need to see normal operating temps before the "LC" will appear on my display after check marking it.

Is this normal or is mine having an issue?

Thanks guys

Yep, normal. It doesn't activate until 178*F. Obviously, you don't want to be dogging on the car until the engine is within it's normal operating parameters.

He was probably asking for when his GT owning friends leave their keys lying around.

And yeah, I'd never go WOT till warmed up but just was odd that the function would activate after start up.
