Last day to order?

Hi! After admiring all of your cars i finally ordered a 2016 GT in guard on 3/5 at All American Ford in Hackensack, NJ. I've been browsing this forum in the meantime and read that 3/4 is the last date ford is accepting orders for a 2016. My salesman hasn't reached out to me saying he can't order the car and just last Wednesday said he'll let me know when he has the Vin near the end of the month. Did I get lucky or should I call my salesman?

I'd call him to be safe. The 2017s start taking orders a month later on 4/4. So worst case...if he calls you back, you can always swap to a 2017. I think though that if it was the last day...he probably wouldn't have been able to place the order. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I am about to make my first G6 Mustang purchase myself but they have what I want on a couple lots here in my area.

I'm keeping my hopes up, I'll call tomorrow though. there are only a handful of guards near me in GT and the ones I see are premium/out of my price range. I ordered mine in GT base for $31,400 with the floor mats, spare tire and active security options! If I had to get a 2017 i could live with ruby red, its my 2nd favorite, but man what unlucky timing if that's the case!

Yeah I hear you. I would love to own a GT one day, but right now...it's just out of my price range. I really want a Premium and when it comes down to a base GT vs a Premium EcoBoost...I went with the latter. This is going to be a daily driver and it's a 30 min drive to work...so the gas savings will be nice. Also...the insurance savings on the EcoBoost vs GT will be better. I am upgrading from a 2003 Base Coupe so...the EcoBoost should be quite an increase for me power wise.

I do not think the order information is correct from the build site thread. Orders for '15s last year went into April/May.

Haven't tried to do that yet, I read that cotus doesn't work for any 2016s though

FWIW, I was just told that the last day to place a dealer factory order for a custom 2016 is April 8. I am actually headed in this evening (3/30) to hopefully finalize and formalize my order.

Did they push back the order bank for the 2017's? Or can you order either a 2016 or a 2017 for 4 days?
