Knock retard help

I have a Diablo trinity programmer and the knock retard gauge sometimes reads
+9 under light throttle but under wot. In a lower gear it only up or down 2 is this normal or safe ?

Under WOT it show plus or minus 2 degrees
Under light throttle it starts off at 1 and slowly goes up from there the furthest I watched it go was 11 last night That was in 6th gear doing 70 with 30% throttle

Generally, from what I remember, +/-1.5 is generally acceptable under WOT. Can you tell me if a positive value is bad with the DS tuner? I cannot remember, but different devices display it in different ways. For instance, on the Cobb AP, positive values means it detects 0 knock and is adding timing. On the SCT X4, positive values means it detects knock and is pulling timing whereas negative values means it's adding time.

Is the canned tune on the DS adjustable for the EBM too? If so, try adding 2% more fuel and see if that helps the KR.

hey buddy.. that is normal. what you are seeing is POSITIVE knock meaning that the sensors are ADDING timing. also the pid is in 2x actual increments. so +9 is actually the computer adding 4.5 degrees of timing. so all in all you are fine. if you want to do a wot pull and datalog and send it to me to look at to make sure that is fine as well. if you want to make sure

there is a preloaded layout. i beleive its "11+tuner" if i remember right. been awhile since i looked at the ecoboost stuff.

either way one of the preloaded layouts will have a bunch of stuff like rpm,map,timing, lambda, knock, fuel trims, etc. just make a log using that and email it to me [email protected] and i'll make sure its ok
