Having any aftermarket part installed by the dealer can only be helpful as far as warranty goes. And FRPP parts ARE considered aftermarket, FYI.

BTW, "aftermarket part" is defined as ANY part that is not exactly the same part down to the part# that your came from the factory with. For example, your car came with a Motorcraft air filter. A Fram air filter you bought at Auto Zone will fit your car and work just fine, but technically, that is an aftermarket part.

Legally, the Ford dealer has to prove that whatever failed part or problem that you are trying to get fixed under warranty, was caused directly by your aftermarket part. Sometimes, it can be a sticky situation. Sometimes not.

For example, let's just say you get the FRPP springs installed by the dealer and a week later, your AC goes out. The springs have absolutely nothing to do with your AC, the hoses, the compressor, the electrical, etc. 99.99% of the time they will fix your AC.

But let's say a month after spring install your rear toe links snap (highly unlikely, this is hypothetical). There's a good chance the dealer will try to blame your lowering springs for your toe links failing b/c they are both suspension-related.

I'm about to replace most of my stock suspension pieces with Steeda parts, so this is a topic near and dear to me. Stick with parts proven to work together, have them installed correctly and you'll be fine.
