The air box feed does not run all the way to stock grill there is an open area. The velossa continues air box ducting right upto grill.
I'll check again at the weekend (am abroad on business) but mine certainly appears to go all the way to the grill? I know this because I had a right faff feeding a wire past the intake for the battery feed to the sto n sho.

Modded for 2016 builds perhaps?

Will check.

Easy to check, shine a torch through the front grill where the intake is and you should be able to see that the duct does not come right upto the grill.

Hate to say it - but perhaps you were missing a bit?

Mine has an intake box clipped to the rear of the grill. This then attaches to a rubberised connector which feeds back into the bottom of the airbox.

As I said, it's from memory but I'm sure this is the case. Will check at the weekend

Yes mine has this, here are some images to help show it:

The stock ducting our cars come with:

Here is the best images I can take of the Velossa:

Here is the Velossa inside the stock ducting as it fits inside it and then alters the direction of the duct to sit directly behind the open part of the grill!

Here you can see the Velossa and how it angles to sit right behind the opened part of the grill area which I further dremel the honey combs to allow more airflow!

The standard ducting sits behind the fang part of the grill where less air can enter due to the fangs obstructing. The Velossa alters the angle and extends the ducting right upto the front grill and the open parts to cause a RAM air effect.

So unless they radically changed the 2016 cars I am fairly confident you won't have this, the stock intake sits about 1-2" behind the fang part of the grill which is not great for airflow and certainly won't create a RAM AIR effect.
