Got it - you can tell I don't know much about it! What's is typically the legal limit for the rear and sides?
https://www.tinting-laws.com/minnesota/

Looks like MN has similar laws to OH....which is 50%.

Having said that, 50% is pretty light. I went with 35% nano ceramic. Make sure it’s done by a quality shop though. A bad tint job is definitely lame.

The windshield strip is also very lame. Leave that for the vertically challenged full size truck bros.

Not really - just thinking about tinting my windows as I look out over the frozen tundra of MN 😎
I'm 68 and tint was the first thing I did. Really cuts the heat and protects the interior of the car from the sun. It's darker than it looks. Black Ceramic 30 on the sides and back, Air Ceramic 80 on the windshield. The windshield is really important and at 80% the police will never know its there.

I'm enjoying the pics of your cars with the tint! They all look good 👍🏻 What does it typically cost for tint? I'd probably do the rear and sides...

Well it depends on what you are going for. So long as you get ceramic you are good for heat. 20% is too dark in NJ. Cops will ticket you for it (Ask me how I know). My recommendation is stay legal. I would speak to your installer for advice on how much you can get away with.

Llumar air 80 and 90% are practically invisible. 90% more so

but it eliminates like 99% of heat anduv

no glares

I can’t find the llumar info links. But here’s one on 80 which I use

https://tintplusautomotive.com/auto-tinting/air-blue

Worth it 1000x over

Mine cost $350.00 for everything.
That gives me an idea - thanks. Are the Mustang quarter windows tinted? I'm planning on a black roof wrap and I think the tint would go well with the black roof...

For those with no tint on windsheid laws
Check out llumar air 90. It’s literally invisible. reduces the heat like 40% and glares and 99% those bad rays.
Helps protect car interior. Helps keep from damaging dash

Go to a place w it and have them give you a sample and put against windshield to see for yourself

20% for mine, sides and rear. Too dark per wisconsin law, but people I work with have had it done on many cars for many years with no problem with the law. I think it's a good look on most color cars. I'm 60.
