Ya there’s an overwhelming amount of info out there. I would definitely not put semi synthetic as someone previously mentioned, it could be one percent synthetic and the rest mineral.

The moral of all this appears that you should leave the Factory filled out in there longer.

I did my first oil change at 2500 miles in the dealership, then changed again at 7500 with my regular mechanic. Both times have been with semi-synthetic.

So far, the plan is to do Amsoil at 12,500. No ticks or rattle so far, the car just passed 10,000 miles yesterday and it’s running like new. No additives have been added any of the times.
