The biggest thing you get is something only 1963 people share with you.
Yep, we are all sharing in the unknown.
I'm not worried, I just want to know exactly what comes with this LIPSTICK EDITION!

I have looked at every picture so far of the LE and no rear park assist. Checked against other photos of mustang GTs and EBs and they are shown on some of those.
Yeah, I first noticed them on all the photos of the cars with the optional 50th Package, but not on any LEs. Are you talking about the sonic sensors on the bumper?

For Husker, the Lipstick edition better be more like Wild Boar than Pig!

The LE comes with the camera...I don't need ugly plastic plugs in my bumper that shriek at me while I reverse...I'm not blind I can park a car without "BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP" I disable the audio in my 2012 Edge SEL and I would if my mustang came with them.

Question though... even if you DON'T order the BLIS/reverse sensing stuff... wouldn't the bumper be same with the holes (just without the functionality?) I don't see them making two sets of bumpers?

Plus what?? It's the 401A package PLUS the additional LE package items. Does it have Enhanced security? The rear assist sensors? Adaptive cruise? these are OPTIONS on the 401A not standard equipment.

Am I going to cancel my order over these details... nope. once the car hits the lot and it doesn't seem to justify the cost will I walk away....YUP.

Honestly, for me the biggest benefit of this car is getting the auto with the additional items listed under Mechanical. Depending on how this right wrist heals and my right shoulder surgery I might go back to manual transmission.
Ditto, it's gonna be a pleasure to own this car but there's also the value to consider at the end of the day.

Normally it's just a stock bumper that receives an extra 30 secs to drill the holes to then insert the sensors.

that wasn't my point.... my point was people keep insisting the LE has all available options and it DOESN'T so people should stop insisting that it does.

And unfortunately our dealers seem to be in the same boat with either misinformation or information they've just not been provided with. And you brought up enhanced security which I hadn't. $700.00 up here. That brings my list of "is it or isn't it included" to $2700.00. Ok Ford, feel free to jump in anytime here!!

This subject came up in another thread or 2 (or 3 or 4) but deserves its own. The question that no one, including Ford, can yet answer is "What specific options are included with the 50th L.E. Car? The Order guides are NOT specific nor are the Ford press releases which say "almost all GT options" are on the car.

For 47k USD and 52.5k CDN, I and I'm sure a few others (about 1,963 to be exact) would appreciate a few more specifics.

I'd like to see Ford release a complete listing, ie a proper option by option description or code, on what exactly is "standard" on the car. With deference to Brent and his list of standard options posted elsewhere, I DO NOT TRUST the current Order Guide or any of the press materials that Ford has released. For this car they are non-specific by way of omission. The order guide only lists certain options while the very creatively worded press release for the LE mentions "almost all options available for the Mustang GT are included" or words to that effect. What does "almost" mean??? A couple of members have mentioned that rear park assist and adaptive cruise won't be included. Others have countered that. Who here is correct???

A member has also brought up the fact that the order guide for this car mentions "uprated front and rear sway bars" while the other GT Order guides only mention uprated rears. The poster inferred that this makes the LE even more unique. C'mon!! Is the corral grill so heavy on the LE that they had to beef up our front ends??? LOL, doubt it. I truly think the differences in sway bar sizing mentioned (or rather omitted) in the Order Guides is a mistake and that the LE's and the GT's with PP will have exactly the same specs. You'd have to be pretty f'n naive to believe they'd engineer specific ride and handling parameters for 1,964 cars. Just wouldn't happen. Ford needs to step up here and clarify IMO.
I put together a list of what you get exclusively and what options are removed (from my DORA)
EXCLUSIVE to LE
- Exclusive color, available in either Wimbledon White or Kona Blue

- Discreet highlights for the grille, side glass and tri-bar tail lamps, in Chrome

- The Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition will be the only 2015 model with the large faux gas cap badge on the rear fascia, with 50 Years added to the GT designation

- Louvered rear quarter-windows. Comprised of layered sheets of glass built with a construction technique uniquely developed for this car.

- The aluminum trim panel that spans the double-brow instrument panel gets an axel spin finish different from other 2015 Mustangs

- A special serialized 50 Year Limited Edition badge on the passenger side. Each badge will be individually etched at Flat Rock Assembly Plant where Mustang is built.

- The limited-edition is the only 2015 Mustang with a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel. The stitching is also used on the instrument panel, shifter boot, center armrest, door inserts and seats.

- Seats feature exclusive two-tone cashmere and black leather upholstery, and the Mustang 50 Year logo on the seat backs.

- Limited-edition cars will be equipped with loop-carpet floor mats with cashmere stitching and suede binding not available on other Mustangs

- Only 2015 Mustang that will be available with a combination of an automatic transmission and the performance pack.

- Each of the 1,964 50 Year Limited Edition Mustangs will get a unique owner’s guide in a leather portfolio with the 50 Year badge on the outside

- 19-inch alloy wheels feature a unique Y-spoke design inspired by the chromed steel wheels that were offered on the original Mustang 50 years ago. The front wheels are 9.0 inches wide with 255/40R tires, while the staggered rear wheels are 9.5 inches wide with 275/40R tires (Appearance wheels are only 9's)

- Unique VIN

- First to market, 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition will be among the first of the redesigned pony cars to be built once production begins later this year

Adaptive Speed Control

Yes, this car was made for looking, Shelby's are made for driving. It just happens to be faster than the Boss 302 (per Dave Pericak)

Still trying too find an option missing that's Worth whining about.....Next

No adaptive cruise control or beep beep sensors....yeah I'm out I feel so ripped off (sarcasm) I'm not only going to get an exclusive color and hopefully the vehicle early but Damn you Ford! I'm gonna go buy a Camaro.

Shelby owners didn't not buy them because they came with THE WORST wheels for any type of performance.

Thanks for taking the time Dave. If this is the case I won't miss the ACC because I didn't choose it when I optioned out a comparator GT with PP. The enhanced security (if that 's what the other one is) would have been appreciated though. Oh well.

Look in the three different sections. Active Anti Theft/ electronic locking console/wheels locks all standard that is everything in the enhanced security package..

Shot of Backup camera on the 50th L.E.

Shot of the Heated/Cooled seats in 50th L.E. plus better shot of turned dash for L.E.
