Is it possible to do on a PD blower? I'm sure I can rig something to pressurize it from the TB. Not sure if pressure/boost before the screw could hurt anything. If you are trying to pressurize the system, would the screws of the Whipple have to be in a specific position to let air pass through to the intercooler? I've done it on turbo cars which makes sense to me but want to clarify before I go messing with it.

My reason for wanting to do it is piece of mind that I didn't unseat a gasket or something during installation. The car just never seems to run as well as others with a Whipple so I'm working through trouble shooting and figured making sure all the air is going into the motor is a good place to start.

Thanks all

Get it on a dyno and watch the boost guage.

Smoke machines work well for this, they dont work under high pressure but will find leaks in a system. We might be able to rent one and check the car for leaks.

I just don't know whether or not the air would pass the screws into the intake manifold or not. I would think you would have to rotate the screws to get anything through. Been googling it but can't quite find that answer. It just dawned on me that my boost gauge would tell me if there is pressure on the intake manifold side. Might just do it and see what happens. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.

I'm not getting the numbers I expected also!

11.4@123 mph 1/4
152 mph 1/2 mile

Mustang dyno 638 WHP

Dynojet after the 1/2 to confirm if the power was there 663 WHP

3.625" pulley

Log the boost on the dyno if there is a leak it should drop

I suspect torque management on the tranny eating some of the ET and trap

An automatic 2015 VMP in the same 1/2 mile event was putting down 630 WHP dynojet and trapping 160

Yeah I think i saw your thread on it. I do suspect a lot of my issues are in the trans tuning as well but I want to at least confirm there is no boost leak anywhere that's throwing things off. I went 10.7 at 136 (MS109) while paddle shifting the car. It won't break the 10s if I let it shift itself. The MPH it pulls tells me the car is making good power but it's all on the back half. It's a pig through the 1/8th. It literally picks up 30-35MPH on the back half. I also get pulled on quick by Tommy V in his Procharged D1 car at 10-11 PSi from any MPH roll but then my car starts to charge hard over about 100-110mph. It should be the other way around although he does had 3.73s. Further evidence that it's the trans/torque management holding my car back.

I agree about the torque management comment, after seeing how your car through u forward in the seat it could be torque management cutting power.Maybe we should pull abs fuse and see how it runs with no nannies,i can clear any codes that may come up from removing the fuse.

More data to convince me that at least for me it is not power related.

The new owner of my previous 2013 - 9psi Vortech 530WHP MD ran 11.4@124 same as me at 638WHP MD and I ran in that car 11.9@115 at 400WHP(NA) MD
Another 2012 - 10psi Paxton 546WHP MD ran 10.8@131

I have a 3.5" pulley to install and plan to run 10 gallons 93 oct + 5 gallons (MS109 or GT260 plus ) (hope that's enough), to see what I got.

About the ABS fuse good point.

I wonder if someone that knows how this systems operate can elaborate.
Advance Stability control / traction control and torque management (if they correlate)

I know this tune is 50 state legal and safe so it is not going to run as a custom calibration but if I have to break something I prefer it to be the tranny and not the engine putting more boost to compensate.

I will have to eventually go to a custom tune for the strip and use the Whipple for the street (which I think is super safe and reliable)

Yes the stabilty control/abs/and trac control all work together to help keep the car under control under certain circumstances. Also their is clutch protection which most tuners disable because can cause boggs at hard launches. The torque mananagment which is a combination of those areas i listed above cannot just be disabled but can be tweaked to help with problems of cutting power.Pulling that fuse does disable abs,but u also lose line lock and launch control. But is a good test to see if torque management is part of your problem.
