Whatsup guys, first post here. Traded my 12 GT in for 16 GT back in November and have loved this car so far. Night and day difference over the 12.

Now my 12 had some pretty bad rear steer with the SRA and I thought I wouldnt have to deal much with it on the IRS but 5k miles later I have a pretty good pull.

Since Ive never had an IRS what are the common components or remedies for this? Looking at AM I see a subframe alignment bushing kit. Wasnt planning on changing control arms 2 months later lol.

Simple fix!

M-5A460-M: Ford Toe Knuckle Bearing
This limits the wacky toe changes these cars see in under loads.

BMR-CB005: Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit
This removes most of the slop and deflection within the cradle mounting to the chassis.

BMR-BK055: Rear Lower Control Arm Bearing Kit
This removes the sloppy rubber front pivot bushing on the rear LCAs. The OE Rubber pieces allow the control arm to move fore, aft, laterally and vertically by a large amount which promotes geometry change - which hurts what you are trying to achieve.

BMR-TCA045: Vertical Links
These will remove the knuckle's ability to "climb" forward under load. This also lessens geometry change.


That said, I really do not have an order for those - for your goal. The best way to approach it IMO, is to start with the FRPP Toe Knuckle Bearings and the LCA Bearing upgrade. This will get the nitty gritty work out of the way, and should not affect the alignment much.

this is the one thing I noticed mostly when I bought my '15, from my last '05 mustang. I got so used to how the rear end rotated on the solid axle, that the irs is still taking some getting used to. I feel like the rear end tucks into the corner, rather than rotate to the outside of the turn. I am interested in potentially dialing some of the toe change out of the rear, but dont know how possible that is without modding the knuckles.

You can add the Steeda trailing arm spherical bearing kit and IRS diff bushing kit if needed for more control
